Priorities
- Given two tasks, determine which is of greater business value and do that one first. If a team member working on a task of greater value than your current task needs your help, stop what you are doing and help them. Focus on delivering value.
- Given two tasks of about equal business value, do the riskier one first. Eliminate risks as soon as possible.
Those are my two simple rules for prioritizing work. It’s up to you and your team to determine how you measure business value and risk.
