We recently hired a new developer at PatientsLikeMe who, like I was when I started, is new to Ruby and Rails. To help him get started, I compiled this list of Rails-focused blogs that I enjoy. http://bokardo.com/ - Not really a Rails blog, but Josh Porter is a thought leader on social networking, which is very relevant to my job.

I also highly recommend Ryan Bates' Railscasts. They're free, and only about 10-minutes apiece so they're highly focused and easily digestible. You may know Ryan from the Rails Forum.
